At Provena United Samaritans Medical Center I work in the food service department. Many of us have difference responsibilities, but I have two main jobs. I am a diet clerk and I work the starter position.
When I am in the diet clerk position I take care of the patients by taking their orders over the phone, and calling them to remind them to order their dinner.
At the starter postion I set-up the food trays by putting silverware on them and the condiments.
I would first like to say that you
should never take anything for
granted, because growing up and
working all together is a challenge
to see if you can handle things.
But
you have to
grow
up
sooner
or
later.
Right now, working at McDonalds is not all I thought it would be. But, I can say that I am happy and privileged to be working there.
Everyday I come in with a smile, knowing that I have to face a challenge. It’s not easy comparing yourself to the experienced workers on how to do things, but I am flexible and ask questions. I love meeting new people and challenges. I am proud of myself knowing that I am not out wasting my time doing nothing. I am committed to what I do, and loyal to my work.
