Student of the Month (May. 2007)
Katherine White - Goreville High School
Katherine is the JILG secretary and has played an
active roll in Goreville’s Career Association.
What are your plans after graduation? I will begin summer classes at Shawnee Community College and will also get a new job.
What degree will you pursue? I will earn a bachelor’s degree in education. I plan to become an elementary teacher, and I hope to stay local.
Where do you work?
I worked for Goreville School as a tutor. We just
finished tutoring for the year.
How has JILG benefited you?
I feel more prepared for college and work because
I know what is expected of me by my employer and
by my professor.
What awards or honors have you received
this year?
I won the Dean Betts Memorial Scholarship and
Saints Success Scholarship, both of which will help
me pay for my education at Shawnee Community
College.
