Dustin Lynch playing at the ExtravabandzaAfter graduation Dustin has decided to attend Rend Lake College to get an Associates in Arts Degree.

What are your plans after Rend Lake?
“I plan to go to SIU-C to get a degree in Music Business, and then go into the recording industry.”

Do you plan on relocating?
“Yes, I plan to move to the music capital of the United States, and that is Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville is the center of the music industry.”

If you had a choice, whose album would you like to produce?
The band “Underoath” is probably my favorite band, and I would love to produce their next album.”

What is your major? Why did you choose that major?
I’m majoring in construction carpentry. I like working with my hands and working outside and getting dirty.

Where do you work and what do you do?
I work at Image Hand Car Wash on Archer and Rockwell washing cars.

How many hours per week do you work?
I work about 25 hours per week.

What is one thing you miss the most about JILG?
I miss being in class with my friends.

How has JILG helped you or impacted you?
It has helped me with writing papers for college. It also helped me with knowing what to do in a job interview.

How has JILG helped you?
It helped me become more confident.

What advice would you give a present JILG member (about high
school, college, life, etc.)?

I would tell them to work hard to reach their goals. Don’t fool around in
high school because then you’ll regret it in college. Take things serious and don’t take them for granted.
