Message from the President
Welcome! And thank you for visiting our website.
For the past eight years I have had the distinct pleasure of serving as President for "Jobs for Illinois Graduates". It is the most fulfilling and rewarding challenge I have undertaken in my life.
Since its beginning, JILG, and its nationally recognized program curriculum, has been instrumental in helping over 26,000 Illinois high school students, who might otherwise have given up on themselves, to stay in school and attain their diploma. JILG, and our dedicated Career Specialists (teachers), work one-on-one with the students, who are carefully selected for the program, and provide those students with the inspiration, guidance, support, and confidence to complete their schooling. In addition, JILG provides a school-to-work program where the student learns and applies the types of skills that will serve them in achieving success in their future chosen career.
I am proud to say that our success has been exceptional through the years. Across the nation, only 68% of high school students graduate. The JILG program consistently graduates over 95% of its students. We believe that the impact of providing students with the support and skills necessary to succeed will reach far beyond our classrooms. The experiences of these students will greatly contribute to shaping the future of our schools, our communities and our emerging workforce.

I think you will be impressed with what we have to offer those students who seem to struggle in their high school years due to such barriers as educational and academic problems, cultural problems, socio-economic problems, and personal development problems. Our goal is to serve those students who need, want, and can most benefit from our comprehensive program. At JILG, we believe in our students and take tremendous pleasure in their successes.
