This month we praise Miguel Valladares for all of his achievements throughout his senior year at Juarez High School. Miguel knew he was interested in doing something in automotives since he has been in the Automotive Program at Juarez for the past four years. Last semester people from West Side Tech came to promote a program opening at their school in automotive as well as a logistics course. Each class was completely free for those who qualified and would take place during the semester of your senior year. That meant that those students would be gaining college credits while in high school.
Miguel applied to both courses and was accepted into both! “It’s been a bit hard trying to go to college and high school at the same time, especially since the classes start right after I get out from Juarez. I know this is the career I want to go into, so I have to do it.” Miguel is expected to complete the program in June and will continue on to West Side Tech after he graduates from Juarez.
