Program Results & Measurements
JILG is a highly accountable program utilizing an online national data management system to track competency attainment, employer contacts, and placements. Few publicly supported programs are able to provide extensive documentation of the students served, the services delivered, and the outcomes achieved. Each JILG student is tracked for one year after high school and is contacted or visited by their Career Specialist each month to ensure that they are successful in their post-high school placement.
The most significant measure of JILG’s success is the impressive graduation rate of its students. The national graduation rate for high school students has recently fallen to 68%, but JILG’s graduation rate has averaged 95% since 1997. In addition to that, other performance measurements indicate that for the past eight years more than 95% of students have positive outcomes in terms of full-time jobs, full-time post-secondary enrollments, or a full-time combination of the two, in the year following high school graduation.
The key outcome targets that are being tracked and documented during the student’s participation in JILG include:

Cost and Benefit
The value of the JILG program is undeniable. The program costs approximately $1,225 per student. This cost is repaid in state taxes in about 14 months, even if the student is only working at minimum wage.
