Thornton Fractional South High School’s Jobs for Illinois Graduates (JILG) Club went all out to remember Jorie Wengren, the late daughter of Judy and Jim Wengren. Judy works at the school. JILG focused their service learning project to launch a weeklong campaign on SIDS awareness. The group also discovered that a teacher at Thornton Fractional North High School, Tim Zasada had experienced the death of his son, Zach. Tim’s wife, Nancy also works at a Junior High School in the area. Both schools teamed up to raise awareness and funds for SIDS of Illinois.
