The Flora JILG program continues its work with teachers and students at several area elementary schools (McEndree, Washington, Xenia) with DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Learning Standards) program. The Flora JILG program works with small groups of elementary students from the Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade classrooms. It is during this time that the JILG students work with basic reading skills with the elementary students. This is done through a variety of ways that each classroom teacher develops. Sometimes it may involve games that are entertaining as well as educational. Other times it may consist of the elementary students reading out loud to the JILG student that they are paired with.
